1. Scope and Provider
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all registrations for German courses within the framework of the Vorstudienlehrgang der Wiener Universitäten (VWU) offered via the website www.germanforvienna.at.
The provider is:

2. Registration
Registrations for the German courses can be made via the registration form on the website or in person at the course location. Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received and become binding only upon written confirmation by ZIB Training GmbH. Changes or cancellations are valid only in written form (by email to germanforvienna@zib.training or by post).
3. Course Fees and Payment Terms
Course fees are gross prices (including all legally required charges). Payment is due before the course begins and must be made on site. Participation in the course is only possible after full payment has been received prior to the start of the course.
4. Cancellation and Withdrawal
Cancellation before the course begins
You may withdraw free of charge up to 14 days before the course starts, provided that you submit both:
If you withdraw later, free cancellation is no longer possible. In this case, the full course fee must be paid.
Form of cancellation
Cancellation is only valid in written form (by email to germanforvienna@zib.training or by post). The required confirmations (from the university and the health insurance provider) must be attached. Cancellation becomes effective only once you have received written confirmation from ZIB Training.
Additional information
Course places are personal and non-transferable. Therefore, it is not possible to nominate another person to take your place in the course.
If you start the course late or leave early, the course fee will not be refunded in part.
Bank charges
If a refund is issued, bank or payment provider fees may apply. These fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
Processing time
Refunds may take up to 30 days.
This is due to processing and confirmation by the payment provider, over which ZIB Training has no influence.
5. Cancellation and Changes by ZIB Training GmbH
The commencement of a course requires a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached or if there are organizational reasons, the course may be postponed or cancelled. In such cases, any course fees already paid will be fully refunded.
ZIB Training reserves the right to make necessary changes to the course schedule, course instructors, or the course location within the city of Vienna.
6. Participation Requirements and Conduct
Participants must meet the admission requirements for the VWU (e.g. an admission letter from a university). All participants are subject to the applicable house rules at the course location, including fire safety regulations, as well as the "ZIB Code of Conduct", which will be provided to all participants on the first day of the course.
7. Liability
Liability towards the contractual partner or third parties for damages caused by minor negligence in connection with our services is excluded.
No liability is assumed for participants’ personal belongings, including the learning materials provided, even in cases of theft.
ZIB Training provides the infrastructure for teaching activities; responsibility for learning success lies with the participants. No guarantee is given for individual learning success.
8. Data Protection
Personal data is processed exclusively for the administration of the course and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further information on data processing can be found in our Privacy Policy.
9. Final Provisions
Amendments or additions to these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing.
If any individual provision is invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
Austrian law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is Krems.
